ζητέω - zéteó - to seek
did you say peach colored?
He answered, Child, all the service thou hast done to Tash, I account as service done to me...Not because he and I are one, but because we are opposites... Hey Paul do you think C.S. believed that Muslims would join him in heaven?Should we?Don't mean to drag you into this tolerance discussion but I have Always loved that part of the LAST BATTLE - it's hopeful. thanks for taking the time to write it out for us...
Well thats a good question Dale, what do you think C.S. Lewis meant by this? I would be inclined to say that in his story there was a difference in worshiping the ape and those that thought tash was same as Lion and those that didn't know but knew that there was someone great! I think I like that the Lion says NOT because we are the Same but because we are OPPOSITE...meaning there is only one God, and he is merciful. God knows our hearts our intentions and our desires...I think C.S. Lewis has brilliantly answered the hypothetical question of: "what if there is some tribe that never heard of Jesus...but they worship their own God..." although i find those hypothetical questions anoying, i think C.S.Lewis shows me in this story One HOly, Righteious God, who is merciful, unlike my hateful mind can understand or process sometimes...
so muslims will not be there?cause they are actually serving a different God? Even with all theri good intentions?
thats a good question...i dont think its up to us to decide who is in and who is out...thats the point i was trying to say...hypothetical questions suck...:)
ok, that pic is really funny!! sick, but funny.
