Vancouver Trip ~Part 1~

Well apparently Clint has found his camera so I am going to start posting some of the pics we took that I had on my camera and by part 2 will have the rest...enjoy...the adventure of a life time...
The trip begins with us driving to the airport...this bearded fellow is my buddy Clint...Clint and I go way back to high school, where we stalked girls and played a lot of hockey and tennis...till he married my cousin, for obvious reasons I would say...he had a boy crush on me, and I was taken so then next logical step is my cousin. (broke back moment :| )

Here we are flying to Vancouver......and of course Clint tries to make out with me...well its par for the course with this fellow...just think he's a Jr. High pastor...well at least he was...
In Vancouver we go over our choices of renting a car......we thought about going the ford 'I'm a piece of crap' tempo route...but knowing that we are going to be in a big city and needed to look like we got 'bling' we did it...we went with the Volvo S -Class...all leather and other technical talk that would fit nicely if I remembered what it was...all I can say is that this car was phat...yes ph-phat!
And yes this car did have a GPS system which was awesome and in fact was worshiped a little since we had no way of knowing how to get anywhere...instead of being lost...we were on time and ready, where is that restaurant???

Clint and the GPS unit...yes we are real tourists...

I have to admit that Vancouver is a sweet looking town...

Our first stop was to see my cousin Lisa, who we were staying with and she of course works at star-bucks, and if you have visited Vancouver you will notice that this is the main driving force of the local economy, since there is a store on every corner, literally....I always thought that was a bit of a joke...but to my surprise nope it was true... It was interesting to see so many pretentious hipsters every where with their scarf's and tweed jackets with the lame Ramones shirts under the jacket, all that was missing to make my day is some 'mother-earth' poster...or perhaps 'save the whales' one...ohh that would have been sweet...ok we get it, your misunderstood poets...with your laptop typing, scarf wearing, tea drinking, and nose piercing, short mohawk haircuts...yes we get it the world is a cruel vampire in which your just a rat in a cage, ohh the cruel world that just doesn't understand you...

Ok anyways... so the next stop was to pick her up after work and grab my brother in-laws who both happen to live near Vancouver and go eat, this was the best part as we went to some sweet pasta place that gave us each a trough to eat out of, soooooo much food...wow...

Another broke back moment was when Clint tried to feed me pasta from his fork, man if I only had my tweed jacket with a scarf there...that would have been perfect...Karsten, Jessica's brother was the big winner since every one gave their leftover portions to him...since he is a 'starving college boy' he now had food enough for a month... well this is just part 1 stay tuned as we get to part 2 and have a resolution on my meeting with Kelly Hrudey...speaking of tweed jackets!
